In this issue meet Raquel, the cover girl of this issue, so in tune with the tattoo scene that she is the muse of a poster for a big tattoo convention in São Paulo, Brazil.
We travel to Canada to meet Greg Nicholson for a long chat at the top about his style which immediately stands out for the precision of the lines and the elegance of the use of black for contrast and shading. Sarom Nong, aka ‘Yann Tattoo’ is a self-made artist who has made a name for himself in the Anime style as well as in Realism. Valentina Riabova has her main base in New York at Love Machine, but she is mostly tattooing between New York and Los Angeles. She calls her style “primal Blackwork” and mixes it with a powerful colour realistic style. Kingsley Hayward is part of the crew at Lowrider in London and his style is, of course, Lettering but in a New English way.
We’re in San Diego to visit the two premises of one of the best-known shops on the international scene, The Full Circle Tattoo. Meet tattooist Eaz, author of Endevour, one of the eBooks available in our digital book shop, an American artist famous for his graffiti.
